The Green Room – 3.5 to 4.5yrs
The 2 operational Kindergarten programs follow the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines when implementing, observing and planning experiences with and for the children by Bachelor Trained Early Childhood Teachers. These rooms focus on the aspect of school readiness and being prepared to begin school the next year. The learning and experiences are based upon the children’s interest, within an educational play-based curriculum. An educational focus towards the interest of the children is implemented in the sequence of ‘projects’ which will continue as the focus for learning for as long as the children drive the program.
To encourage and cater for individual children’s needs, the rooms implement a places and spaces environment. These include literacy, numeracy, dramatic play, music and movement, construction, creative learning, relaxation area and outdoor play.
